What do change-makers need to see, in real time?

Building Data Pipelines that Lead to Transformational Insights

Streamlining data management, building decision-grade dashboards, transforming operations across functions

Riot Games · McDonald's

Data flowing from databases and data lakes, transformed through SQL into a Tableau dashboard of charts. Left to right: source databases and a data lake feed a SQL transformation layer that shapes tables, which then populate a Tableau-style dashboard containing a line chart, bar chart, donut, and map. sources databases data lake SQL transform SQL SELECT ... JOIN tables GROUP BY AGG, CAST tables Tableau Performance Dashboard A B C

The problem

Leadership, brand, sales, finance, and ops teams each needed a real-time, coherent view, but the data was fragmented and the metrics weren't agreed.

The approach

Built data strategy and dashboards end to end: defined metrics, streamlined pipelines and update procedures across Network, IT, and Database teams, and designed rich, revelatory visualizations.

At Riot: Player Metrics and Revenue Performance Dashboards across 5 Riot Games x 8 APAC Markets. At McDonald's: Sales, Product Mix, Stock, & Operational Metric Dashboards across 70+ McDonald's outlets in Pakistan.

The result

Critical insights designed and distributed real-time, democratically, across the organizations. One coherent view, instead of competing spreadsheets.

At McDonald's, this led to the identification of transformational opportunity areas, and enabled action plans to be executed within weeks (e.g. Drive Thru service time reductions achieved through dynamic menus).
